Vice President: Natassha Wilis
Well, hello there!
I am your current Vice President and a Civil Engineering student here in Sheffield. As your Vice President, I am in the midst of creating amazing MASSOC journeys for you along with the MASSOC committee squad (HEHE).
So a little bit more about myself, I am a Kadazandusun from Sabah. I love food and swimming with dolphins tops my life to-do-list. My favourite colour is blue but I like all colours (No h8 man). I love to eat the king of all fruits, Durian yum yum. Furthermore, I appreciate and love the outdoors and breathtaking sceneries.
Want to know more about me? Come along to any MASSOC event or if you happen to catch me at other places, do say hi and I’ll be looking forward to meeting you too. You can also tell me about ideas that you wish to put into motion with MASSOC. :)
Social Secretary: Zhaoyun Goh
Hello! My name is Zhaoyun Goh. I’m studying Financial Mathematics and I am your social secretary for the year 16/17.
I chose Sheffield because I love how everything is within walking distance and it’s easy to navigate through the lively city. As a student, I’ve learnt a lot and had lots of fun during my first year in Sheffield. Also, getting to know and meeting new friends has made my life more interesting and now Sheffield feels like a second home to me! I like playing different kinds of sports and let’s not miss out the fact that I love to try different kinds of food as I’m a food lover!
As a social secretary, it is my responsibility to organise and create fun and enjoyable events in order to give you the best uni life. So I would like to use my experience so far in Sheffield to assist and make this society the best for you! I will be more than happy to have your opinion about the events held and do give out any suggestions that you want to share with us!
Male Sports Officer: Yie Yang Hwong
I am currently a first year studying Civil and Structural engineering. I play Volleyball for the university
men’s team and Frisbee for MASSOC. I love to try new things and always up for a challenge.
Fun fact, I
graduated from the Royal Military College, but I can also ballroom dance. As one of the Sports Officers
it’s my responsibility to help MASSOC members with anything regarding sports. However, always feel
free to approach me for anything and everything and I will try my best to help.

Treasurer: Phoebe Wong
Hey everyone, I’m Phoebe and I am your treasurer for the year 16/17. As treasurer, I am in charge of all financial matters of MASSOC; so yes, those “treasures” all fall within my shoulder of responsibility!
(don’t worry, it’ll be kept safe!)
Studying in Sheffield for almost 2 years as a LLB Law student, some of my best memories here are with MASSOC. Being part of the committee now, I hope that each and every one of you are able to experience the same as I did. Come join us to build more unforgettable memories, only this time, with you in it!
Welfare Officer: Hanis Ismail
Hello all!
My name is Nur Hanis and I am currently a second year LAW LLB student. I am your Welfare officer through out 2016-2017. During my role as officer I will be happy help members with anything they need, this can be from specific dietary requirements you have to just having someone to talk to if you need to get anything off your chest! I am also responsible for planning any society trips which members are interested in, so please give me a shout about where you would like to go to!
In terms of getting to know me personally, I was born in Kuching but raised in Miri, Sarawak. In my free time I like to bake (cupcakes are my favourite things to make!), catch up on watching Suits and read (not law books of course!). I also enjoy eating out and trying different types of food too.
If I had to choose one quote to live by it would be ‘’ say yes and you will figure the rest out after wards’’.
Secretary: Kar Yan Chong
Hello! My name is Kar Yan and I am the secretary of MASSOC 2016/17. I am currently a first year medical student. What I do as a secretary is to ensure that all minutes and reports of all meetings and events are well-documented and kept,
manage and monitor the member database, be a reliable representative of MASSOC and also prepare the monthly newsletters on the recap of MASSOC events. I enjoy making new friends, trying new activities and eating.

Hi everyone!
My name is Avery and my friends call me Ave for short. I'm a 2nd year law student who transferred to Sheffield after my 1st year at Taylor's Lakeside! So actually, this is my first year in Sheffield! Contrary to most, I love the weather here cause I hate sweating. Freezing cold > Mad hot! I am a secret/not-so-secret all things Korean lover (but if you confront me about it I'll pretend not to be hehe)

Heyy there peeps, I'm a final year Accounting & Finance major in Sheffield. Many of you might wonder why of all places, I do accounting in Sheffield? The answer is I do not know either.. but one thing I know for sure is I didn't regret my decision on coming here. The city of Sheffield has so much to offer, excluding the moody weather which you'll be experiencing soon :'(
I bet some of you are wondering what my position is about and what I do. So, what I do is I'm going to bring ya'll a unique charitable PROJECT which consists of a pair of large-scale events in Sheffield itself, where all of you can get together as Malaysians and introduce our homely Malaysian culture to Sheffield and the world ! Be prepared and get involved for the big exciting things coming ahead of you!
